“I have traveled to many places and observed breathtaking beauty. However, more than just experiencing beauty, I adore capturing it. Having the privilege to freeze a moment - encompassing the essence of life and emotions in an image - is a wonderful thing. I love creating windows in time and being able to share those moments with others. Providing people with photographs that perfectly capture the spirit of a day, an event, or a feeling brings me so much joy.
A camera has been in my hand since I was 16 years old. I graduated from photography school in 2012. My specialty is nature, travel, and landscape photography. However, I also love portrait and wedding photography. My work has been featured in the Homer Visitor Guide three years running, as well as the Alaska Magazine, and Fish Alaska Magazine.”

Hastings is currently in school to become an A&P Mechanic and Pilot with the ultimate goal of working in the remote places of the world on a volunteer basis to bring help to those in need. Any revenue earned from her work in photography puts her one step closer to reaching this goal.
